This blog site is about not just telling, but showing people how to discover America’s pioneer heritage and get a taste of what thousands of Americans endured in order to start a new life out West in the early to mid-1800’s. It features trip stories lasting a few hours to a few months spanning Southern California to the Midwest and beyond. Learning how to travel and see America the way it was meant to be seen is so important in the age of cheap air travel and a generation swapping cars in favor of public transit. Being able to take a road trip for a weekend is something everyone needs, as is knowing where you’ve come from in order to find out where you’re going.
